One of my goals for 2014 was to keep track of everything I ate throughout the year. Here’s a list of what I ate in January.

In most cases (unless otherwise stated), the quantity refers to the number of portions. There are a few things I’ve left out, things like candy or tasting the food of people I was eating with. I also undoubtedly forgot to record a couple random things that I ate. Still, I think that the list below is relatively complete.

So what did I learn or gain from that? Well, I eat a lot of rice. I ate 47 portions of rice, to be exact. And overall, I’m happy with the amount of desserts and junk food I eat. It’s not as much as it has been in the past. Also, I think that this shows how great the food is here in Southeast Asia and Bangkok in particular. It’s really, really, really good.
